A long way from the city, the same refrigerator
Everett is a fair drive north of Seattle, and the distance changes nothing about how a Sub-Zero fails. The refrigerator side of a combination unit still has its own compressor and evaporator, separate from the freezer’s, so a warm fresh-food side with a working freezer sends the search to the refrigerator’s own parts. Most of what we find there is air that is not moving: a stopped fan, or an evaporator smothered in frost because warm air got in.
Why the distance makes the phone call matter
Because the drive is longer, we try to arrive knowing as much as possible. When you ring, have the model number ready and describe what each side reads, whether you can hear the fan behind the fresh-food panel, and whether frost is visible on the back wall. Those three answers tell the technician what to test first, before the grille is off.
