From the route
Recent Ice Maker Repair calls in Seattle
Hollow, cloudy cubes traced to the water valve rather than the ice-maker module itself — a cheaper, faster fix than a full module swap.
No ice production at all on a built-in column in a view condo — the water line checked out fine, the fault was a seized ice-maker module. Swapped on the visit, first batch dropping within the hour.

Cubes came out hollow and cloudy and I had written the ice maker off entirely. It was the inlet valve restricting flow, a far cheaper outcome. He did arrive near the very end of the window.

Production had dropped to a few cubes a day and I expected to be told it needed replacing. Scale packed around the mould and a thermistor reading badly. Cleared and fitted, full bin next day.

No ice for ten days, and the reset in the manual did nothing. He ruled out the water line, then found the module seized and swapped it.
