Where the cold gets out
A drawer that no longer feels chilly when you slide it open, or a small refrigerator that leaves bottles merely cool, is usually losing cold air rather than failing to make it. A starved condenser keeps the compressor running long past its usual rest, and the contents slip warmer on a hot day. Sub-Zero’s schedule for condenser cleaning is every six to twelve months, and it allows up to 24 hours afterward for temperatures to settle back.
