Where a tremble begins
Every cooling cycle starts with the compressor and the fans spinning up together, and for a second or two the whole cabinet moves with them. On a wine unit you notice it because the racks are the part you touch, and a bottle resting against its neighbor turns a movement you would never feel into a sound you cannot ignore.
What we usually find
Most often the cabinet has simply stopped sitting firm. Floors settle, joinery is refitted, a foot backs off a turn, and from then on each start-up is passed into the run of cabinetry instead of being absorbed by it. The tell is that the tremble is worst in the first seconds and that one top corner gives when you push it.
A fan is next. A blade out of true, or one brushing its housing, adds a steady shudder for the whole cycle rather than a burst at the start, usually with a light tick keeping time somewhere behind the grille.
Worn compressor mounts come last. That shake starts low, is felt through the floor more than the racks, and it is confirmed from below before anything is priced.
